Dr. Barbara Strobert

Educator

Dr. Strobert served as a teacher, supervisor, district director of gifted education, principal, superintendent of schools, professor and program officer at the DeWitt Wallace Foundation. Her experience includes all levels of schooling from elementary to graduate education. Additionally, she has mentored principals and superintendents for NJ state certification. She was named a National Distinguished Principal by the US Department of Education, received the NJASCD Outstanding Educator Award, a Dodge Foundation Fellowship, and was founding Chairperson of the Principals’ Center at Princeton University.

She served as an adjunct professor at Columbia University, and then as a professor at Seton Hall University for 13 years. She received a Commendation for Excellence in Teaching at Columbia University and the SHU College of Education and Human Service Apple Award for excellence in teaching and dissertation advisement and community service.
